Google Likes Responsive Web Design and Here is Proof
This news surfaced a couple of months ago.
It has resurfaced again.
The talk…
I mentioned almost a year or so ago – that all signs point to Google favoring Responsive Web Design.
Responsive means – one website that works great on mobile devices.
Since late in 2012 we have built all new sites using responsive web design.
(If you want to see an example – go to our website below or re-watch my app video and about 3 minutes in you will see one in action)
What is Google Doing?
If you do a search from your mobile device.
And the “Search Results” happen to pull up a website that is not using “Responsive Design” or does not show well on your smartphone/tablet
Google will let you know.
Example…
Let’s say a site has “flash.”
We all know Adobe Flash is rough on certain mobile devices.
Google will warn you… with a message that will pop up after you click and before you are taken to the site.
It is true that Google has to serve three audiences…
1) Their users. They want a Google user to get the best experience.
2) Their advertisers. Google’s major changes to adwords were all about mobile in the last couple of years. They would rather you click an ad and go to a great website rather than have a bad experience.
3) Google has to serve Google.
Fun stuff.
