Facebook Wants Your Site

One thing that Facebook has flip-flopped on over the years…

The value Facebook places on outside web properties.

Meaning.

At times Facebook has come off as anti-web.

In other words … they have taken certain actions to minimize sending traffic off of their social network.

It was almost like, they didn’t want us sending their users to websites and landing pages off of Facebook.

But…

Over time they have struck a balance.

This balance has helped businesses that are savvy about their websites and landing pages.

I noticed the other day as I was taking a post that I wanted to promote, how Facebook had additional features for me to drive traffic from that post to my landing page off of Facebook. This is a sweet addition!

I remember back in 2010 so many fake social media consultants talking about how Facebook would kill websites and landing pages.

Side note…

A fake social media consultant is someone who…

Has never run a business… (other than their fake social media agency).

Has never sold anything other than their social media services.

Has never had to make payroll.

Back to the story…

Many of these “consultants” predicted the death of websites and landing pages.

Didn’t happen.

Never will.

Facebook wants you to have a kick-ass web presence.

One of the most reliable Facebook Marketing formulas is to drive traffic to a solid landing page.
