Say Bye to Teens on Facebook
It’s been suspected for a while.
But a new report makes it much more official.
Teens are not into Facebook anymore.
They are more into…
Snap-Chat
It’s simple to figure out.
Teens are still discovering who they are.
They don’t want to hang with “adults.”
Teens want more privacy.
It’s easier for teens to be active on a social platform where they know their parents are not.
I predict as teens mature – they will eventually find their way back to Facebook.
We’ll see if five years from now there is some data to support my “rightness” on this.
Enough about the teens.
Actually – it’s a good thing there not into Facebook.
Here’s why…
Even with teen usage down the numbers for all other demographics are way up.
It’s OK that numbers of teens on Facebook is going down.
I am laughing as I think about certain small businesses who have ignored Facebook over the years because they assumed their customers and clients didn’t bother wasting time on there.
So wrong!
Demographics with spending power have been on Facebook for years.
Over time their digital breadcrumbs of what they like, their interests, what they talk about and more has become massive data for you.
It’s crazy how you can find exactly who you’re looking for on Facebook using Facebook Ads.
For now – teens might be leaving.
But the window for you is wide open.
What will you do?
