Over the years, I have seen where this is a point of confusion.

The question is…

“Do back-links from social media sites help with SEO?”

And I usually get the question more in the context of…

“When I post on Facebook and link to my website does this help with SEO?”

The short answer is … “NO!… Linking to your website from posts on Facebook or Twitter… or wherever do not impact SEO.”

Why?

Mostly because links created on social media posts use “No Follow” and they don’t get indexed by Google.

The only… links from social media that matter are the ones you create when you set up the profile.

This link helps the overall online presence of the business.
