Sam Crow Business Strategies
My wife and I are getting ready to start the third season of Sons of Anarchy.
When my friend, “Dr. Steve” was in town (He’s a blast – a magician, stage hypnotist, author and speaker), he nudged Jamie and I to watch the first episode. We’ve been into it ever since.
SAMCRO, AKA, “Sam Crow” in the series stands for Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original. It’s the founding charter of the organization.
Anyway…
A frequent scene in the show is when they all gather around the meeting room table to discuss important business.
We’re talking life and death stuff. Major business decisions.
All these topics require a majority vote.
In business we have to make decisions every day.
Fact is: Some of them… yes… require tons of thinking, meetings, votes… whatever.
But most decisions simply do not require much wrangling.
In life and in business… based on my 17+ years as a business owner, I would say, only when you get the two confused is when things get out of whack.
In the past I have made the mistake of laboring over decisions that were really not that huge. Each time, all I did was slow down progress.
Then, there were times when I rushed in to things where five and six figures where involved. Bad idea!
Just know when you need “Sam Crow” and when you don’t. Know when the committee needs to meet and when it doesn’t. Move simple things forward. Plot the big stuff. Life will be less stressful.
