The Why of Online Marketing for Your Small Business
In my travels I still come across a few business owners who are not too sure of what their online presence should be doing for them.
Sure… there are a few “what” and “how” questions… but often times… I find if you answer the “why” first – the what and the how take care of themselves.
A website/online presence and online marketing is often the first to third encounter that a potential prospect has with your business.
That’s WHY it’s important.
Via search your website can be the first touch-point. If you’re in front of them when they are looking for information and solutions to problems you can win… big time.
If you meet someone in person and hand them a card… chances are… (if they are interested)… they’ll jump on your site later to investigate more.
Even when you get that “word of mouth” business – the referral still goes to your website to validate what your happy client/customer said.
Why all this matters…
When done right… you can reliably end up with the winning online marketing formula of…
“Traffic to your site = Leads = Business.”
Your web presence can easily facilitate the first step toward someone doing business with you.
Easy to see WHY this matters.
Lastly… Any online presence and website must be an accurate representation of your business.
