These two companies keep popping up.

One is…. of course… the classic “I told ya so” moment.

And the other is one I have been watching for some shady practices.

The two…

Twitter and Yelp.

Not really in sync – but the topic of today’s message.

Twitter, the recently public and popular social media platform.

Yelp the popular review/search/media company that has been on the radar for not so nice behavior.

First…

Twitter…

Twitter reported their first earnings as a public company last week.

The news was not good.

The stock went way down.

Major issue…

Something we have talked about before.

User growth.

Mainly a problem because of really, really high turn-over.

Overall… the main stream folks… just don’t get Twitter.

But who knows… maybe something will change and Twitter will eventually please Wall Street.

I urge you not to worry about Twitter.

Here’s an article I wrote a while back…

Twitter is a Huge Waste of Time

OK – our Yelpers…

Be on the look out.

They are doing a deal Yahoo.

The deal is about integrating Yelp content to Yahoo searches.

We’ll have to see how this plays out.
