The Keys to the Benz


When you’re into something for a long period of time, eventually, you have seen it all.

Of course, you need to keep your mind open because some of the things you’ve seen in the past will show up in different ways… thus, teaching you some new things.

So you end up seeing the same things, but with slight differences for each unique situation… right?

Something that has come up over and over again during the 10 years I’ve been in the online marketing business…

Business owners…  Dismissing the importance of the internet. And I get it, and I have said this before…Not every business has the desire or the want/need to do much online marketing. For these guys and girls, a solid website can be enough. 

But the one thing that pops up over and over that is fairly amusing…

When they believe…

“Hey, my son/daughter/granddaughter is young, they can do this web and social media stuff for us.”


Most of the time, nothing gets done.

At the very least there is no accountability and that’s why nothing gets done.

The most dangerous side of the coin… these businesses trust someone who has no business, no sales and no marketing experience to “play around with” the most important piece of their business image… their online presence.

It’s like giving the keys to the Benz to a newly-licensed driver… not usually a good idea.
