Ideas for Your Business
Ideas
Recommended reading for you by default.
A book I’m reading right now, The Choose Yourself Guide To Wealth, by James Altucher reminded me of a talk I used to give to small groups from 2009 to 2011.
The talk was based on one of my first books… Motion Before Motivation, The Success Secret That Never Fails.
Among many principles – I spoke about the power of ideas.
And how our minds can be like manufacturing plants. Turning out good ideas.
But we need quality raw materials, information, input and advice to manufacturer the ideas.
But – the ideas are not enough.
Action is needed. Action on ideas creates feedback. The feedback helps you adjust and modify the idea.
It doesn’t happen without action. Nothing happens without action.
There have been times in the past when guys wanted to tell me about their ideas. But they were fearful (not of me – but of everyone) others would take their ideas if they told people about them.
The idea has no value at all. Only the action does. But I’d say… “Sure buddy, I’ll sign your non-disclosure agreement for your worthless idea” – and sign away.
You should only worry when someone infringes on an idea already implemented. That’s where protecting copyrights and trademarks come in to play.
But until then, there is nothing to protect.
Smaller Ideas are better for your business.
It’s the smaller ideas you get every day to improve your business that make the difference.
You don’t need the real “big idea” if you always work on smaller ones and… MOST IMPORTANTLY… IMPLEMENT those smaller ideas quickly. They will all add up to become the big idea over time.
Take action daily on the ideas that will improve your business. They will multiply like gremlins in water.
Ideas that improve your marketing, operations, sales… everything. Do something each day.
Enjoy your week!
