Facebook and The New Nearby Feature
Actually this is not a new feature – just a relaunch and an improvement of something that has been there for a while.
Facebook has collected a ton of data over time on where users have checked-in.
It’s no secret that Facebook will now want to leverage that data.
Eventually we will end up with a local discovery tool that has its roots in “Social.”
What to do?
Be sure your business address and category are up to date.
Encourage check-ins.
Increase your Like base via Facebook Marketing to up your chances for “buzz.”
And… Pay attention to this as Facebook Nearby evolves.
