A Google Search Will Reveal Your Business App?
Google made an announcement the other day.
Still very new… So I would tell you to hold off on doing anything just yet.
Paint the picture…
More and more searches are being done on mobile devices…. Smartphones… tablets.
And Google has sat back and watched Facebook make some coin by offering “App Install Ads.”
Now… Google is jumping in the Mobile App Install Ads game.
Think of it like this…
A user searches.
And one of the ads they see gives them the option to download an app to go with their search.
They, click “Install App” and then… the App is installed.
Then – they can open the app and get the information they want.
Not much different than clicking on and viewing a website.
But… that App now lives on the smartphone.
Hmm… How can this work for the “Average Joe/Jane?”
First… Naturally… You need an app.
Then… Adwords…
I have not seen it yet… but you would choose “App Installs” as part of the campaign.
Then… Select keywords.
Write the ad.
Next… A strong call to action as why they should click and install the app.
Of course… it has a few more moving parts, but that’s the simple version.
This looks promising for those of us who have Mobile Apps.
