Facebook Ads Restructuring Coming March 4th and A Prediction
This is not a surprise to me.
Because Facebook is always tweaking things.
We’re set for another tweak to the Facebook Ads Platform.
Right now… the structure is two levels deep.
Campaigns & Ads.
You have the campaign and the ads in that campaign.
Each ad has its own objectives.
The change…
Facebook Adding a new layer.
Now you’ll have Campaigns, Ad Sets and Ads.
Campaigns = Your Objectives
Ad Sets = Budget, Scheduling and WHO you want to target. Example – you can target users who are in your Geographic region (among other things).
Ads = The actual ad. The creative, the images, etc. And you’ll be able to have multiples ads under the various ad sets to really mix things up.
This is coming March 4th.
Now onto the prediction…
Facebook has been talking a lot about “Facebook Groups” of late.
Bragging about the 500 million + Facebook users that associate themselves with Groups.
Even going so far as recommending some new groups for you to join.
This is a prelude to eventually allowing advertisers to target Facebook groups.
Not sure of just how this will shake out but it looks promising.
